For 2023, we decided to improve our “Golfetta”, the pride of our range of products and best-selling salami in Italy (source IRI, 2021-2022), certainly an extraordinary result, which makes us very proud. More and more consumers in Italy and around the world express their preference for this product.

Unique and original, Golfetta continues to meet the needs of consumers, increasingly focusing on lightness and well-being without ever compromising taste.

This is how Golfetta, with its innovative, exclusive recipes, has always offered some of the finest Italian cold meats.

For some time now, the Golfetta formula contains 60% less fat than the average salami (source CREA 2019).

It is also produced with 100% Italian meat and is gluten-free.

The 2023 version of Golfetta maintains the same qualitative characteristics and the same unmistakable flavour, despite significant changes to its recipe, which:

  • is totally free of milk and derivatives, and
  • has a sodium content (salt) reduced by 40% compared to a Milano salami (source CREA 2019). 

This evolutionary change is the result of an intense Research & Development work whose goal was greater attention to the health of consumers while maintaining the absolute organoleptic quality of the product.

The significant reduction in sodium content, especially when compared with other salamis sold on the market, makes Golfetta even more appealing, considering that international university studies conducted in 2022 further support the need to reduce the sodium content in preventive diets.

Hence, Golfetta’s current recipe makes it a product suitable for anyone, including figure-conscious consumers of any age, and compatible with nutritional requirements, yet without compromising the great taste of a product that embodies the great Italian pork butchery tradition!
